The biennial 'Stitch Your Heart Out' needlework challenge is open to any skill level, any technique, using any materials and you don't need to attend Beating Around the Bush to enter - it's for everyone!

Whether it's your own design or someone else's and with amazing prizes on offer, this is a needlework challenge for every stitcher and their needle.

New or existing projects, there is a category for everyone!

Entries for the BATB 2018 'Stitch Your Heart Out' challenge will be on display to the public for one day only:

Attend Gala Dinner

The Beating Around the Bush Gala Dinner is a legendary affair where we end a week of magnificent stitching by celebrating together in style.

In celebration of the 10th Beating Around the Bush, Needlework Tours is offering an incredibly generous gift to be drawn and given away on the night.

One lucky guest at the Gala Dinner will win their choice of either a Needlework Tours European or Indian Embroidery Workshop Tour, valued at AU$8,995.

To participate all you need to do is put your Gala Dinner ticket in the draw on the night, and someone will be leaving the dinner living the needlework dream!

Tickets are AU$125ea and include a three-course meal, drinks, live music, two keynote speakers, Christine P Bishop and Karen Torrisi, plus the opportunity to win the embroidery tour of a lifetime. Definitely a night not to be missed!

Attend An Evening with Nicola & Phillipa

Two luminaries of the embroidery world share their unique perspectives. Nicola Jarvis presents her experience with the Ashmolean Museum; designing, teaching and creating modern C17th style embroidered caskets. Phillipa Turnbull outlines the history of English embroidery, sharing historic surface embroidery techniques, royal gossip and insider info on castles and stately homes.

Part proceeds donated to Fine Cell Work.

Pop-Up Shop & Stitching Exhibition

The BATB 2018 Pop-Up Shop features the world's most beautiful needlework, magazines, books, kits, supplies and more. Open daily for BATB attendees, the shop also features a magnificent needlework exhibition with original projects on display from Inspirations Magazine plus entries for the Stitch Your Heart Out competition.

The Pop-Up Shop & Needlework Exhibition is open to the public for one day only.
